Welcome to Nashville, President Trump. Maybe you can learn a thing or two

Tennesseans are ready to elect leaders who get things done

May 29, 2018 (NASHVILLE, Tenn.) — President Trump visits Nashville today to headline a fundraiser for Marsha Blackburn in her bid for U.S. Senate, and to host a spectacularly out-of-touch 2020 campaign rally. In response, Tennessee Democratic Party Chair Mary Mancini released the following statement:

“Tennesseans want leaders who will work together to solve problems and get more done, and yet the GOP and their candidates continue to sow division and chaos,” Mancini said. “While Trump is here, perhaps he can learn a few things from the Democrat in the race, Gov. Phil Bredesen, about his bipartisan, get-things-done style of leadership that led to eight consecutive balanced budgets, more than 200,000 new jobs, and education policies that led to Tennessee becoming the fastest-improving state in the history of the Nation’s Report Card. Perhaps he can learn from Gov. Bredesen that it’s more important to build up our infrastructure — instead of tearing each other down.”
