Well That Is Bull
You remember Charles Williamson, the “that’s no bull” guy who lost to Rep. Mike Turner in 2010? Well, he’s running again, this time in Rep. Gary Moore’s District 50. He just put out a press release claiming to “report more than $100,000 raised in the first quarter.”
Well, if by “raising $100,000″ you mean, “putting a $95,000 self-endorsed loan” on the papers, that might be correct.
In actuality, Mr. Williamson “raised” a little over $5,000…the rest was a donation of $5,000 he gave himself, along with the “self-endorsed” loan to his campaign, meaning that 95% of his campaign funds are coming from himself or are just campaign finance tricks used to pad financial reports. According to his press release, Williamson was “overwhelmed by the positive response” he received in these “tough economic times”. But, if this report is any indication, economic times have been anything but tough for Charles Williamson.
