Democratic Convention is here!
It’s Sunday, September 2, and it’s the Tennessee Democratic Party’s first day in Charlotte, North Carolina for the Democratic National Convention.
Our delegates are arriving by bus, plane, and car. The final preparations are being made to the convention center. And the buzz is palpable.
There’s a great deal of excitement in the air to nominate Pres. Barack Obama for a second term.
Tonight delegates from all across the United States will enjoy some welcome parties that showcase the best of Charlotte. Tennessee delegates will be going to the NASCAR Hall of Fame.
Tomorrow is Labor Day and the unofficial beginning of convention activities. Check back in tomorrow when we’ll share stories of several delegates who have made the journey to Charlotte.
