The President Won. Hands Down.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Chairman Chip Forrester issued the following statement after the second presidential debate between President Barack Obama and Mitt Romney.
“President Obama clearly won tonight’s debate. Part of being a leader is being able to share and explain your vision. Tennesseans saw their leader – a strong, steady and decisive president — articulate a promising vision to move this country forward and build the economy from the middle out, not the top down. Romney, however, misfired on his tired attacks and fired blanks on his own proposals. He fumbled on explaining his debt-exploding tax plan because he could not tell the American people how he’d pay for it. And when he was exposed on the emptiness of his own plans, he was rattled, lashed out against moderator and then refused, again and again, to explain his indefensibly bad ideas.
“All things considered, a strong case was made tonight for President Obama’s re-election.”
