Everyone has heard of Black Friday, the annual day after Thanksgiving shopping rush. Now there’s Small Business Saturday to encourage folks to shop at local retailers. There’s Cyber Monday for those looking for online deals. And now there’s Giving Tuesday.
Giving Tuesday is a different way to participate in the holiday rush: donating your time or your financial support to something you care about. It’s a nationwide celebration of generosity, and it’s a reminder that this season is about more than great deals.
In honor of the generous gifts we have received this year, the Tennessee Democratic Party is encouraging its staff, volunteers, donors, and stakeholders to participate in Giving Tuesday, too. We hope that today you will give to a cause that is close to your heart.
We’d be especially honored if you chose the Tennessee Democratic Party as one of the organizations you’re supporting this holiday season. If you are interested in helping us build a stronger party that can help us attract better jobs for our workers, better opportunities for our children, and a better future for our state, we would be humbled by your contribution. You can join the Giving Tuesday conversation online by sharing your story on Twitter and Facebook with the hashtag #GivingTuesday. Follow us at @TNDP or find us on facebook.com/tndem, and be sure to share your #TuesdayGiving with us.
