What We Represent
Welcome to the Cumberland County Democratic Party.
We believe the Constitution is not a suggestion (not a suggestion should be bold). It is the foundation of our government and the protection of our rights. We are ordinary citizens who are tired of sitting on the sidelines and watching our country drift in the wrong direction. We are getting involved and we want you to join with us. “We support the platform of the Tennessee Democratic Party and believe our principles” (the part in quotes should be italicized and the quotes removed) should mean something beyond campaign slogans. We stand for protecting the Constitution and its Amendments, a fair economy that works for the working people, affordable and accessible health care, quality education, sensible immigration policies, strong support for our veterans, and real attention to the concerns of rural communities. Our citizens should be able to expect affordability, accessibility and accountability from our governmental leadership.
