NASHVILLE — As Democrats notch major victories in key races across the country, national attention is increasingly turning toward states that have long been written off, including Tennessee. Recent national discussions and strategic signals ahead of the 2026 election cycle reflect what organizers on the ground have been building for years: a growing belief that Tennessee is worth serious investment and sustained effort.

This momentum is no accident. Over the past year, the Tennessee Democratic Party organized in all 95 counties for the first time in decades, strengthened party infrastructure, retained and hired experienced and critical staff, and elevated the work happening across the state to a national audience.
